הגרדיאן: זוג ישראלי מבקש להשתמש בזרע של בנם המת

עיתון הגרדיאן הבריטי מפרסם כתבה המציגה את סיפורו של אוהד בן יעקב ז”ל אשר הוריו תרמו את איבריו וכעת דורשים לעשות שימוש בזרעו כדי להביא ילד לעולם. משפחת בן יעקב פנתה לארגון משפחה חדשה על מנת שיסייע להם למאבקם. בדרישה שהפנתה עו”ד אירית רוזנבלום, העומדת בראש ארגון “משפחה חדשה”, ליועץ המשפטי לממשלה יהודה וינשטיין, היא כותבת כי “לא ניתן לחלוק על הקביעה כי זרע, יכול ויהיה לנכס, וכי מכירה וקנייה של חלקי גוף מתחדשים, כגון שערות ונוזלי גוף, לרבות דם וזרע, הן בימינו תופעה נפוצה”. לטענתה, “בישראל יכול כל גבר לגשת אל בנק הזרע ולקבל תשלום עבור פליטת זרע אחת, ואילו אשה יכולה לגשת אל בנק הזרע ולרכוש מנת זרע תמורת מאות שקלים. בנקי הזרע אף הם נתונים תחת פיקוח חוק ההגנה על מצרכים ושירותים”.
